Hi all.

First post here, so I'll thread lightly.

I've tried to do my research before posting, including search etc. Anyway, over to my problem:

I get a lot of flickering in the picture when changing channels in MyTV. At first, it looks like the new channel is put on top of the previous one, and after a couple of seconds, the previous channel disappears. Still, there is a lot of noise in the picture, with "large pixels" being shown incorrectly, and a lot of lag in the picture. The sounds however, is all good. Also, the MP GUI itself is displayed correctly, so that should rule out any problems with gfx card drivers. I have a feeling it has to do with codecs, but I haven't been able to find any solution yet.

There, tried my best to describe the problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

Hi & welcome.
You should attach your logs collected with MP TestTool after a channel change so we can see if anything shows up there as unusual.
Do you use it as singleseat(TV Server & Client on same comp)?

Btw, h.264 Video Codec: Monogram <-- monogram it's the AAC audio codecs

Roy

Thanks for the correction, I edited my first post accordingly.

It's a single seat installation.

Log files are attached, let me know if more/other logs are needed.

Cheers

Hi,
Hmmm, seems to me that you only use MediaPortal & not TV Server, collect all logs with MP TestTool so we can see.

.csv's are not allowed to upload. I guess you don't need the two .htmls?

Hi,
You can attach the zip file which TestTool creates, more interest in TV.log error.logs etc which can tell whats up.
Your MediaPortal.log doesn't seem to load TVPlugin & MP loads your card to old TV Engine so if you have server/client installer something it's very wrong..

Roy

Hi,
Ok, still no tv.logs but since you use RC1 & we had a bug in collecting which it's fixed in latest svn(latest SVN requires update of db which means new scan if not exported & re-imported).

Now to the prob, you have to do the following(due to another bug which it's fixed in GUI Wizard ):
1. Uninstall TV Server/TVPlugin (say NO in popup, so you don't delete TV Server db)
2. Start MediaPortal Configuration -> Television -> Capture Cards & delete the cards which is in there & in TV Channels remove all channels if any(TV Server has the channel setup so not used here).
3. Install TV Server/TVPlugin again *

* If you use SVN drop point 3 & just install SVN again(start with MediaPortal(MediaPortal_weekly-snapshot.exe) first & do not open Configuration, then TV Server(TV-Server_weekly-snapshot.exe, install version in SVN it's a full so no old required).

Regards
Roy

Thanks for the quick answer!

I did what you said, and installed TV Server weekly snapshot. However, I still get the same problem when changing channels. Fresh logs attached.

Is there any way I could work around this, perhaps with a different release?

Thanks again!

Hi,
You have to update mediaportal(MediaPortal_weekly-snapshot.exe in svn package) too.

Update: Try moving the recording & timeshift folder to C:\TVRec or something like that (in TV Setup Configuration -> Recording settings -> Recording folder. Btw, still no TV.logs

Regards
Roy
