Country: | TV-Server Version: newest i think MediaPortal Version: 1.0.0.0 RC2 Windows Version: Vista Ultimate SP1 CPU Type: Intel Q6600 @ 3GHz HDD: WD 500G Memory: Corsair 4x1GB Motherboard: Abit IP35 Video Card: XFX 8800GTS Video Card Driver: Sound Card: Onboard Sound Card AC3: Sound Card Driver: 1. TV Card: Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T Stick 1. TV Card Type: DVB-T 1. TV Card Driver: MPEG2 Video Codec: CBVA DMO Wrapper Filter (seemed to work better than the MPV) MPEG2 Audio Codec: MPA Decoder Filter h.264 Video Codec: Hi guys, Quick thanks to all those people who made + developed this program - its wicked. Anyway, my problem is that when viewing TV on MediaPortal on fullscreen it stutters. Okay, so that's either because the connection isn't amazing or its the computer failing to decode it quick enough. When I say stutter, its just a slight pause only in the video (the audio isn't affected) and happens about once every 15 seconds. The picture quality is brilliant though, so i figured (am i wrong?) that it must be the comptuers problem. The other thing that confuses me is that if i set the aspect ratio of the fullscreen tv to "original" then it still stutters. However, if i watch the tv not fullscreen with a menu to the left, its the same size as the original aspect ratio, but doesn't stutter (if that makes sense ). Any ideas how to stop it?(oh and 1 more question - how do you watch tv on mediaportal minimized in Vista? It seems to crash everytime i minimize it) Cheers. |

Country: | I've you tried other codecs ? Intervideo works well for me. And check your's cpu usage when fullscreen (leave opened on background task manage), if High it's a codec problem. Try also to use Ramdrive TV-Server/UserGuides - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation. I see you have 4Gb of ram.. do you have vista 64bit ? Isn't supported I think. Bye |

Country: | I hope to learn the solution to this problem also. When I first installed Media Center 2005, it was perfect, but after a while, the live tv and sound became choppy... Same with GB-PVR... Strange thing is that Media Portal is totally smooth, just haven't figured out the EPG yet... Good luck, I hope you get it straightened out. I'm getting ready to reformat, and possibly try vista...-Alford |

Country: | I am having the same problem as jamiesalter. It just started last week.. every so often I can stuttering and the only way to stop it is to reboot the machine. I am using Power DVD Ultra 8 for video and FFshow for audio. The video stutters, while the audio is fine. I am going to install the latest SVN tomorrow to see if that solves the problem. |
