| Ater returning my Fusion Dual digital because of problems with the USB tuner, I decided instead to pick up a Fusion Plus and a Lite (as the Plus has a better remote and s-video/composite in for using outside of MediaPortal and the Lite is cheaper). I cannot, however, get these two cards to play nice together. If I disable one the other will work and vice versa, but if they are both enabled then the Lite card will not start. Could this have anything to do with the fact that the plus and the lite has identically named by incompatible filters? | hi there jawbroken, I had similar problems running a Fusion plus and an ultraview (both by Divco) after several of frustration I gave up. I stumbled across this thread, applied the patch and have been doin' the happy dance ever since. http://nolanparty.com/mediaportal.so...er=asc&start=0 I have had RC2 running for the last three weeks with both cards behaving themselves Hopfully this helps Cheers Jamie |

| Thank you to both of you. I was aware that MCE had problems with things like this, but I thought that MediaPortal would be able to handle the conflict a lot better. Jazzman: I have applied the dual DVB-T patch (I added this information at the bottom of my post above) but this does not seem to be the problem I am having. I will try rolling back to 3.03 drivers. |

| I have managed to get these cards working together. I do believe that, as I guessed above, the problem is with identically named yet incompatible filters being used by these cards. By editing the .inf files before installing the driver I was able to modify the friendly name of one set of filters so there was no conflict. Now I am able to record two things at once. Is there any interest in some sort of guide on how I did this? This may help people who have had similar problems (if any such person exists). It is, of course, possible that one of the other changes I made at the time fixed the problem. I am going to try it with the latest drivers and see if the same method fixes the issues with that driver as well. If I get any interest in a guide then I will document it as I go. |
