But unfortunately Problems continued and got even worse. I did a fresh install of windows and all drivers. Afterwards I installed MP RC2. Configured everything and so on... Everything seemed to work fine. Then I tried to watch TV and experienced a terrible stuttering. I don't know why... I tested several decoder (MPV, Intervideo NoCSS, Cyberlink) and driver versions of Hauppauge but nothing helped. Now I am using the old 2.106 driver, because newer driver caused picture errors or it was imposible to get a TV picture at all. I attached the log files and hope that anybody can help me. Before I bought the HVR 1300 I pm'ed a developer who told me that I will get support for this card for sure, because a lot of developers use the same card. I thought about the problem and I got several ideas what could be the source of the problem 1. MPEG Decoder - Don't know which is the best one for this card 2. Video Card - Maybe there is an issue with the driver or with the card itself 3. Hard Disc - Windows is installed on a very old 40 GB Maxtor HDD with just 5400 rpm, maybe this is too slow for watching TV? I stored all my Media on an external USB HDD and MP playbacks all my movies smoothly without problems.... Do you think one of these ideas could be the problem? Do you have a solution? Maybe you have another idea what could be the source of the problem. thank you in advance, you do a great job here!! with best regards Sebastian (as182005) Last edited by as182005; 2008-08-02 at 01:54. Country: | I've found out, that other users have a similar problem. They think it has to do with RC2. But in my case i can completely deny this, because I have just tested 0.2.3 and RC1 and there is the same problem -.- BTW: I am not using TV Server, but i have tested MP with TV Server and got the same problem... PLEASE help me! I am desperate! With best regards Sebastian |

Country: | I'm using MP RC2 + Tv-Server and everything works fine here but take care that I'm under Vista32bit. I'm using powerdvd 8.x as video decoder and ffdshow as audio decoder in both Video and TV sections of MP. Drivers are coming from WinTV CD ver4.6b from Hauppauge Digital. BTW, have you got a wireless card ? If so please try removing it from the pc and report back if situation improves. Simone |

Country: | Thanks for your reply chemelli, I have installed MP RC2 + TV Server again as well as the latest SVN and the TSReader patch. I am using now the same decoder as you (PowerDVD8 for video and ffdshow for audio). But my problems weren't fixed. I have also tested this configuration with Vista 32bit and there were the same problems. Maybe this supports my thesis that my old HDD could be the problem?! I once again have attached my logs. It would be great if anybody took a look on it. PLEASE help me, i don't know what to do. With best regards Sebastian Last edited by as182005; 2008-07-31 at 09:21. |

Country: | Yes, i have found it here: Stuttering on LiveTV don't know wether it is necessery for me to install it, but the problems in the thread sounded similar... I think after installing the patch it is a little bit better but still unwatchable.... What kind of hardware issue do you think I have? Did you take a look at my Log Files? Didn't tell them you anything about my problem? Sebastian |

I mentioned before that I could imagine that my HDD (5400 rpm) is to slow. Do you think this is the source of my problem? I would buy a new HDD but only if i knew that the problem will be solved afterwards. with best regards Sebastian |

MP RC2 is really great. chemelli you were right as you said that it must be a hardware issue. I'm sure that it is my old and slow hard disc. I am going to buy a new one and hope that everything will work then... with best regards Sebastian |
