Default Hauppauge PVR350 doubleclick filter doesn't appear to help?

MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3
Windows Version: xp pro
CPU Type: P4
Video Card: Radeon 9200 Pro
1. TV Card: Hauppauge pvr350
Remote: Hauppauge pvr350 and several universals
TV - HTPC Connection: single digital rca video

I just recently converted from GPPVR to Media Portal (thank god ) and everything has been pretty smooth...except for my remote. I'm in doubleclick hell.

I've tried both a universal as well as the original provided from Hauppauge with the same results. I get random double clicks about every 3 times I press a button. I never had this issue previously, but I did see that when gbpvr ran, it still utilized the existing HP running ir driver down in the corner, but when MP runs it looks like it shuts it down and runs its own possibly?

I HAVE THE DOUBLECLICK FILTER TURNED ON - but this didn't help at all. I'm trying to find if there is any other option out there for increasing the delay in the doublick setting (i.e. pause 500 msec before registering another click, etc.). Is this setting actually exposed anywhere that I could play with it? Or any other options? It looks like I need a longer delay.

I AM running a long cable from a family room down to a basement with an extender on the eye, but I never had issues previously, but I'm guessing gbpvr may have had a longer delay built in or something.

Let me know what you recommend. Thanks in advance!!

I have this problem too and other ones that are far worse with this remote. I have been looking for a cheap place to buy the MCE remote instead but still didn't find a good one...

Hi,

these settings work quite good on my machine. Using a hauppauge silver remote 45 button with the PVR 150:
- Filter double clicks
- Button release 250ms (afaik default is 200ms)
- Repeat filter: 2 (min)
- Repeat speed: fast

HTH,
Flip.

Looking good now...thank you

Wow, I'm an idiot...I looked so briefly down below on that config screen for the hp remote....I misread and thought the bottom would only impact repeat time/speed/etc. and didn't realize there was a release time that would help my noisy line. My bad.

Playing with it now and messing around 300ish and getting much better results. little sluggish, but working without double clicks now. Thanks!
