Default Hauppauge remote

How do I get my 45 button remote to work with MP?
Do I have to download:
Hauppauge IR components V2.49.23332
If so how do I install it?
Everything works fine outside of MP

thanks

MP comes with build-in Hauppauge support. You have to activate Hauppauge in the Remote Section of MP Configuration.

thanks+regards

I've got a Hauppauge remote and you enable it in the Remotes section of the configuration. The configuration page says that you should download the latest version of the Hauppauge remote IR32 application (which looks like you can only get via a non-Hauppauge web page?!)

I tried it with the old version and the Helper Application crashes at startup, the same happens even with the downloaded IR32 version. If you disable the hauppauge remote in the configuration page the application works again.

It worked on the previous release of MP.

Update! I installed the patch after finding another news item and it no longer crashes!

I downloaded this file:
IR32.161
How do I install it?
It's not a program file (exe) etc....????

If I recall correctgy it is a exe file. Unfortunately it removes any customisations of the irremote.ini file, so make a backup of that before you install...

The way I got there was through the mp setup program Hauppauge tab and there is a link on that page that downloads the exe file.

Alander,

Eeeehrrr... my Hauppauge tab doesn't show any links...
The X10 tab does, so I don't think I overlooked it.

Can someone post the link here? Thanks!
