Help this is my first HTPC

hi im using a pc i got of ebay and i was wondering if this tv card would work fine and would the remote work media portal fine or would i need 2 get a MCE remote.

The PC will probably work. The weak point -at first glance- is the MX400. It supports DX9 as far as I know, but it's probably more the "minimum requirement" than the "recommended".
And, just in case you missed this one: You will need windows XP however, so you will have to reinstall it.

Yea ive all ready put windows xp pro on it and also a wireless network card.

do you know if the tv card will work if dose i will buy 1
