Default High CPU load with Hauppauge PVR-500 [SOLVED]

Have a AMD 2200+ CPU, 512MB ram and a ATI 9800SE Graphics card.

When watcing TV I have a CPU load around 70-80% Isn't that very high for a PVR500?

I have the PVR500 (P4 3.00 Ghz, 1 Gb Ram, Geforce 6800 256 MB) and have a CPU load from 15-20% while watching TV.

So yes, yours is pretty high. Don't know what the solution could be

That's what I heard most people with PVR500 have.

I have all the newest drivers etc installed. What codec is the best one for the PVR 500? I'm currently using the MPEG2Dec Video Decoder.

Switched to Nvidia Codec and enabled HW - Now the CPU load is 10-30% So it was the codec..
