| With the hardware below, which according to several witnesses should be quite sufficient to run MP, I find it using 90-199% CPU while idling and reacting extremely slowly. I have tried reinstalling video drivers and disabling plugins. I do not try to run it from secondary display. I have the latest DirectX installed. What more should I look for? Country: | High CPU can be down to a lot of things (have had it myself) Always advise a totally clean instal of XP with SP2, that means reformatting the Hard drive which does not happen normally, this guarantees any old files/settings are remove which could cause corruption. Install any codecs you need, ie vobsub Divx (try to keep to a minimum). Then install 0.2 with stable update. If you still have a problem, you can say some part of your Hardware is not doing its job (nothing alarmingly jumps out). Good luck, bit of a pain reinstalling everything but then you can say that you have tried everything, more than not something outside MP screwing things up.

Country: | I don't know much about the radeons, but is that card hardware DirectX rendering? I think that would be where the issue is. MP renders like a 3d game so it doesn't need much CPU power, but needs good gfx power. |
