Default Horizontal Banding

Hello,

Wondering if there is a way to get rid of the horizontal banding?

I have searched through the forum, and have tried the following:

Adjust refresh rate in increments of 30.
Adjusted Nvida software setting

The only thing that helped just a little was the refresh rate.

I should would appreciate any assistance in getting rid of these bands.

Thanks

Bill

Do you mean tearing? Enable DirectX Exclusive Mode in MP's config (General section).

Well I don't know what it should really be called, but what I have are these lighter colored horizontal lines that constantly scroll up on the screen. After a while they start to annoy you.

Use exclusive DirectX Mode was already enabled.

Any other ideas?

That sounds like a reception/card/cable problem.

Does it happen with the TVcards own software.

and please use the link provided by mpod for the support template.

Thanks

And perhaps you could upload a picture of what you are talking about using the built in forum tool, if you think it might help.

Note: Hit F11 to create a screenshot from within MP. You can find the resulting PNG in your windows user pictures folder.

After hours of searching on the internet I now know the proper term for my problem. Hum Bars, it's a group loop problem.

I have purchased a 5Mhz - 2.4Ghz ground loop isolation transformer from mcminone.com. Hopefully this will correct the problem. If not I might need to find a S-Video Ground Loop Isoation transformer.

The following link has explains hum bars and has a picture of them.

Thanks for your help.
