How hard is it to modify a USB-BDA driver?

I am hoping someone can help...

I have a USB DVB-T box which works in MP with the HAMA BDA drivers. The HAMA BDA drivers also provides a Keyboard HID for the mapping of the HAMA remote.

I have a different remote to the HAMA and the buttons are mapped differently. I have all the button codes of both remotes.

Can anyone point me on how or where to modify the USB driver to change the way receive codes are mapped to keystrokes in the HID?

As some of the main buttons are not currently mapped to the HID, HIP & Girder are not a viable answer (as far as I can see).

Try going through all the .inf driver files to see if you can find some way to modify the remote codes within them. If so, reinstall the modified drivers. If not, then they are probably hard-coded within the driver files and unless you're an expert at reverse engineering, you'll have no luck.

I'm guessing your best bet will be to keep playing with HIP/Girder.
