I had MP 0.2.2.0 installed with svn14010 and the TV Plugin on my Vista laptop, and TV-Engine 3 same build with MP client on an XP Pro server. Yesterday, I removed them and installed the latest. ie, TV-Engine 3 svn16098 and MP client 0.2.3.0 RC2 svn16098 on the server and MP client 0.2.3.0 RC2 svn16098 and the TV Plugin on the laptop, so a like for like upgrade. When the client starts on the server, the SplashScreen correctly identifies MP as 0.2.3.0 RC2 svn16098, however, when the client starts on the laptop, the SplashScreen identifies MP as 0.2.2.0 svn14010???? I have tried all the usuals, double-triple check I have uninstalled previous versions (although MP wouldn't let me install the new one anyway if the old one were still there, eh?). Deleted the Team-Mediaportal folder from Program Files before reinstalling, ran regedit and found any references to build 14010 and remove, yet still that SplashScreen persists! I'm sure the installation IS 0.2.3.0 RC2 16098, because in the 'Television' section of Configuration, item 'TV Client' is present, which wasn't there in 0.2.2.0 and everything seems to be working ok (except IRServerSuite which I'm working on) Is there any way to identify the MP version from within the 'Configuration' and could anyone explain this erroneous SplashScreen? Ok, I seem to have sorted this one. In Vista, there is a folder located at %systemroot%\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Virtua lStore\Program Files\Team Mediaportal, which contains some files relevant to Mediaportal. I deleted this folder, uninstalled Mediaportal and removed some registry entries(pretty much any related to a regedit search for Mediaportal) and then reinstalled Mediaportal and the svn and TV plugin, and now Mediaportal correctly identifies itself in the SplashScreen. Mediaportal was also hanging for a good while at the loading plugins stage of the SplashScreen and it seems to have sorted that too. Now to get IRServerSuite working ;p Last edited by b166er; 2007-10-04 at 18:02. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Country: | Only at a guess, the svn information file has not been updated or possibly even left out, does happen from time to time.
