Question Kworld DVB-T 100 supported?

Can anyone tell me if this card is compatible with MP? I can't see it listed in the list of supported TV cards and I was wondering if anyone has got it to work?

MP (v0.2.1.0) occasionally resets my PC and I was wondering if this could be the cause since it plays back and records TV OK using this card.

Cheers.

I have the ALDI version working on my machine fine.
No problems with a reset.

I've been using this card with MediaPortal for a year and a half - it is on the supported list, but under its former name (K-world Vstream x-pert). I only have PC restarts if I try and scroll through the channels too quickly while changing channels (it locks the card up) - I've gotten around this by increasing the zap delay.

Thanks for the above, I have downloaded the fix and will try it out.
Unfortunately the link for the link for the driver does not appear to work.
Could you pm me the file or email it to me, please.

Thanks Soundytim

I know this is nothing to do with the thread, but i am wondering if this card is worth getting. I have a USB2 Freecom DVB-T stick, but it doesnt work that well. I think my motherboard is to blame for it all, as it works a treat on my laptop.

I can get the Kworld DVB-T 100 cheap, so i am wondering if it is recommended, and if not, what else? I just want to watch tv on MediaPortal!

Thanks,

P1

The card itself is good. There was a discussion on the Linux DVB Drivers mailing list about it a couple of years ago. At the time it had one of the best tuners and front end chip combinations. Their drivers for it were pretty good too.

As long as the KWorld drivers for Windows are decent (which they should be by now at the very least) you should be fine. It is a popular card as it is pretty cheap and readily available (i think i got mine in Maplin) so there would be more threads about it is if was gash i'm sure
