Country: | Any other MP users out there having lip sync issues on TV. Tried different codecs and different sound devices, but no luck. Sometimes switching the channel eliminates the problem, but sometimes not. Somtimes enabling timeshift solves it sometimes the issue is caused by enabling timeshift. Have no idea how to get it work reliable. I have no problems on playback of videos only on TV. I'm using a soundcard with spdif for paththrough to an external receiver. Is this a common problem or specific to my setup. Would switching to TVServer3 solve the problem? Regards, grubi. |

Any ideas which components are a potential cause of it? E.g. is the DVB card a possible cause (using Floppy DTV-C)? grubi.

Country: | I have a high latency ("PCI"-latency, or more correctly IRQ-latency) due to my PVR-350 (I believe). Found this using a latency monitor tool, and I believe that this might cause this, as well as many other things. |

Country: | just in case any v2 users have this issue and tumble on to this thread, these issues can usually be fixed by making sure the audio renderer in MyTV is set to default direct sound device. Any other settings will usually result in sync issues. |

Thanks again to bring this to my attention, however I already found your statement in the forum before and already checked that. In my case it did not solve the problem. What made the issue less problematic was to choose ReClock as audio renderer, but it could not solve the problem completely. Seems that TVServer3 completely emiminated this problem, but as always seems also to introduce some new grubi

Country: | OK lipsync issue is not resoved by TV3. The reason why it works is that the "Prefer AC3" option in TV3 did not work and so I only had mpeg audio. However this gave some additional information to the problem as only AC3 seems to be affected. I found that there is a mantis issue open since 2006 refereing to "Lip sync issues with AC3". Has this ever been addressed, resolved, investigated or anything else? grubi. |
