Is not on a special channel.
Due to the fact that it might take one hour or two until the problem occurs, the resulting ts file can be very big.
Can't i just upload the timeshift file, or is this somehow different?

TS file is as good as the recording. But you have to manually pick the specific file that causes the issue to appear.

Nothing exciting....

I've just understood exactly what happens :

@ ~ 22:19:02.9 : TsWriter has stopped to receive any data => Your image was frozen.
@ ~ 22:19:59.6 : TsWriter has suddenly received ~9 secs of stored data ( but continuous to previous )
followed by fresh data.
So, ~48 secs of data have been totally lost in 0 secs occuring a false PCR jump of 48s.

Question is : why your DVB card stops to send data ????

The fact 9 secs of old data are stored somewhere excludes at 99% bad reception.

I've understood it works with other softwares, but I'm pretty sure it's a PC ( PCI / hw / ? ) issue. In the passed I've already seen similar issues without any explanation. Try stupid issues like changing PCI slot, reinstalling drivers....

As you can easily understood, there is no software way to recover this.

One possibility would be that some higher priority process is blocking the whole DVB graph on TVE3 side and the DVB card drivers are managing to buffer all the data during that stall period.

Again, that would be happening not because of TVE3, but some outside interference. Maybe a really badly working (do we have any good ones) virus scanner?

Please check CPU usage with Task Manager (especially the kernel side).

edit:

maybe some SSD disk could even cause the stall? But never the less, remove all possible extra HW...

Thx for your effort, but i am not sure that this is a hardware issue. I already reinstalled everything. Also it worked with the old MP 0.23 integrated TV-Engine.
I will try my new FloppyDTV S2 today and give feedback.

No virus scanner installed.

Already checked CPU usage during the described issue -> it was even lower then during normal playback

Nothing else is running on that machine.

No SSD, we already discussed that. If you remember i had one and throwed it away.

A more general question:

Have you EVER heard or see a problem like mine from other users or yourself? ... or something similar?

At least I haven't seen. Btw. do you use USB stick as superfect / readyboost (or what was that Vista feature called?) Maybe that manages to generate huge delays?
