Default lose wireless network connection on resume from standby

When resuming from standby I don't have any wireless network. I have to manually repair the connection. Does anyone have a solution for this? I have been told that this is just the way it is, but I can't believe there isn't a work around.

what kind of wireless card are you using? apart from upgrading to the very latest drivers for it, there's not much else you can do. my notebook does this all the time and it's very frustrating - especially seeing there's a newer intel driver which would fix it, it's just not compatible with the hotkeys on my notebook

Are you using the built in Intel wireless manager or the cards own software?

I dont have any such problem with my laptop, as once it comes out of standby it only takes 1 or 2 seconds for the wireless to come back up.

You could write a vbs script that is run every time when PC wakes up from the resume. In that script call ipconfig /renew <some>.

Not sure if it works, but if you can use manually ipconfig to estabilish the connection after resuming then it should work.
