Default MCE Remote - Need mapping help!!! Thanks!

MediaPortal Version: RC4
MediaPortal Skin: Streamed MP 0.2.219
Windows Version: Vista x86 Ultimate
Remote: MCE Remote

I'm having trouble with the back button on my MCE remote. I know the button itself works, because i can hit it and it makes a webpage go back in firefox or it will take me out of TMT back to MediaPortal. When I am in MP, and i am in, say, the Radio page or the weather page, if i hit the back button, it does not go back to the main menu. If i hit the escape key, it will go back, so i thought i would try to assign the escape key to the back button, but when i try to map a key i have no idea what number to assign it to trick MP into thinking i have hit the escape key.

I set it to layer - "all", condition - "no condition", Action - "Action, Key Pressed" and i'm not sure what number to enter here...

Am i totally off base here? Am i making this way to hard on myself? or, if i'm on the right track, what number do I enter for escape???

Thanks for any possible help,
Josh

My System

Default

Hi Josh,

I've use MCE remote for many years and never had to map the "back" button. Have you looked at IR Server Suite? I use it to manage my remote settings as well as blasting to other equipment, like sound system.

I've used IR Server out-of-the.box with only a few exceptions where I assign some macros to the color keys on the remote. Never worried about "back"...
