Default Mediaportal and mkv files

MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3.0_RC3
MediaPortal Skin: foofraw
Windows Version: XP Sp2
CPU Type: E 6600
HDD: 500 gb Maxtor Sata2
Memory: 2 gb DDr2 667
Motherboard: Asus P5B
Motherboard Chipset: Intel i965
Video Card: Nvidea 7950GT
Video Card Driver: official
Sound Card: SoundMax 7.1
Sound Card AC3: SoundMax 7.1
Sound Card Driver: SoundMax
MPEG2 Video Codec: cccp
MPEG2 Audio Codec: cccp

Hi guys, I have a little problem playing mkv files in mediaportal.
I've downloaded and installed cccp codec, now, if i play an mkv in mediaportal, I can see it only in black and white.
Before installing mediaportal I saw my mkv with media player classic or VLC without any problem. Now, if I try to open mkv with windows media player I have no problem too, but I don't know why playing it in mediaportal, I can't see the colours.
Somebody can halp me? For me it's a great problem!
Tnx a lot for your attention

What have you set as you're H.264 decoder in Configuration > Movies > Player?

Changing the aspect ratio, if I use pan&scan or zoom I can see the true colors, with others allways black and white...
Any ideas?

Same here.

Some mkv files just refuse to play in MP. I have had he best success with ffdshow although I have no idea what I am doing. For example: on my HTPC I can choose a ffdshow mpeg4 decoder in MP configuration. On my regular PC, I only have ffdshow decoder and ffdshow raw. I have tried different ffdshow versions, but I can't seem to get the mpeg4 version to appear in my normal pc no matter what I try. I have also not been able to get CoreAVC to work with mkv files in MP on any of my machines.

Did you try to install a haali media splitter (matroska splitter)?

philljp.. it's a paradossal....
I've read this http://www.projecthtpc.co.uk/troubleshooting.html , tired to play mkv file with Graphedit and, as Mediaplayer classic, vlc and windows media player... I can see the film perfectly.
Codec and filters seems like ok, but... playing it with mediaportal... allway black and white.
As I wrote before, if I change the video aspect ratio, using Microsoft remote control, with pan&scan and zoom... colours are true, but the video is "deformed" cause of the change of aspect ratio.
Now... I don't know what I have to do

I've installed last ffdshow, haali media splitter, last CoreAVC... but always the same problem.

EUREKA!!!!!
Updating my video card's driver... finally I can see my mkvs
