Default Mediaportal - permanently record timeshifted program

Hi,I want to permanently record a timeshifted program - I've looked all through the manual and fiddled with different settings but what I seem to be doing is recording the live stream rather than the timeshifted program. I must be missing something obvious, can anyone help?

Is there anybody in there?

Well, timeshifting and recording are 2 different processes.

The timeshift buffer:
- is implemented as circular buffer, that means if you have 1 file for timeshifts and it's max. size is 1 GB and the 1 GB limit has been reached it continues to write the next packets at the beginning of the file
- after stopping timeshifting the file gets deleted

Recording:
- you can record a program "endlessly". At least till your hard drive is full

The big difference:
The timeshift buffer is filled even if you switch to another channel. So after some channel switches you also have these in the timeshift file.
If you record a program you can't switch the channel (only on the same transponder)

So to keep it short:
If i understand you right, it's not possible
