Default Movies and subs

I've noticed my .srt subtitles does not show up when playing a ex. xvid movie, the subs are located in same folder with same name(except for .avi and .srt )

And i know the subs are ok, works like a charm in XBMC.

So question is - why don't they work.

Did you enable this option in de settings of MP.
It works like a charm here.

Meybe you need to install vobsub. But I'm not sure. It comes with the K-lite codecpack I use.

Is it possible to turn it on and off without going into the configuration, maybe with your remote? I want to add subtitles, but dont always want them on
