Default MP changes refresh rate to 60hz all the time

MediaPortal Version:
MediaPortal Skin: Monochrome MCE
Windows Version: Windows XP SP2
CPU Type: AMD BE-2400
HDD: Samsng 80GB 2.5"
Memory: 2GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA69G
Video Card: ATi X1250
Video Card Driver: Latest Catalyst
TV: Samsung LE40M86BD
TV - HTPC Connection: HDMI

I have a problem with the refresh rate in MediaPortal. I've made a Macro so I can change between 24, 50 och 60hz from my MCE Remote so i can change refresh rate depending on movie. But at first I only got it o play in 24hz until I found a setting in the Catalyst software:

This was set to 24hz which forced it to always be 24hz, but when I disable this feature or set it to "Same as desktop" everything works fine i MP, when I change refresh rate from my MCE remote the TV info says it gets the refresh rate I've choosen. But when I start playing a movie MP changes the refresh rate to 60hz, for all my movies, independent of what refresh rate I've choosen with my remote.

How can I fix this, I want MP to play the movies with the refresh rate of my choice, not 60hz?!

Here is my settings from MP and the graph from mediaportal and some interesting lines from the MP log, I hope this could help to find out what the problem is?
