TV Card Driver: MPEG2 Video Codec: Mainconcept(Hauppauge) Mpeg Video decoder MPEG2 Audio Codec: Mainconcept(Hauppauge) Mpeg multiplexer h.264 Video Codec: Satelite/CableTV Provider: HTPC Case: Cooling: Hiya, Im a newbie to this software but have found this software to be really good once its running really good but it keeps crashing on me i.e if im in the main menu then i click on mytv it just sits there on a blue screen and i have to end task in task manager then it saves it to log or i have to shut the computer down straight away and boot up again. If there is any other info you may need then let me know. Any idea most appreciated. I have attached muy logs from i think all the times it has happened Last edited by bungo1; 2008-08-03 at 19:24. Country: | Your logs show trying to play DVD. There are errors connecting audio, if you have FFDShow installed, try selectingt that as your audio decoder, its most probably the best all round audio codec available. Welcome to MP ![]()

| Hello i did try that codec and it still crashes when trying to view my tv any other ideas. Could it be a driver problem wth my tv card or suming i think i have the latest for that tv card. Should i clear my logs and then when it happens again post the logs on here again i have to say ireally like it there are so many features just hope i can stop it from crashing. |

| hiya again heres my new log after media portal crashed again please look and see if you think any thing else could be the problem as i have changed the codec. If there is any other info you may need to help and solve my problem please let me know |

| It looks like i have sorted im still not to sure what the problem was but i dont a nice fresh install of xp and all the updates and it hasnt crashed on me so far so good. It could have been that i had tryed loads of other free media centre software and mabe there was a conflict between the software. Anyway this mediaportal has got to be by far the best ever keep up the good work. ![]() |
