| Hi, I was having toruble to get two Twinhans to work together. I bought another card (TerraTec Cinergy C HD) and now I am using Twinhan & Terratec. It seems that these cards are using the same chipset (or very similar revisions) Mantis is mentioned. I believe in these two explanations: 1. Twinhan and Twinhan does not work well together (implicates hardware/pnpid/whatever), Twinhan & terratec do work together better. 2. Cinergy did install a slightly older version of the driver (it seems that both manufacturers use the chipset vendor oem driver with usual name changes etc.) Now if I were truly methodical, I would try the terratec driver with the other Twinhan, but I will leave it to the next HTPC I build for someone :-) TV-Server Version: V0.9.2.19127 (Rev19158, 23/05/2008) MediaPortal Version: 1.0.0.0 RC1 (Rev19158, 23/05/2008) MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo wide Windows Version: XP PRO OEM FI W/SP2 CPU Type: Phenom X3 8650 HDD: 250GB+500GB (Segate ES2 models) Memory: 4GB DDR800 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H Video Card: ATI Radeon HD3200 (integrated) Video Card Driver: Catalyst 8.5 Sound Card: ATI/AMD HDMI AUDIO Sound Card AC3: Sound Card Driver: 1. Country: | you should avoid cards from Twinhan and TerraTec in general. their price is as low as their quality, and you see now first hand which "funny" issues they can cause......

| Portal Member | This fix dosn't work for me. I copied the files to a safe location (c:\dvbfix) and ran the registration file. My system is Windows XP SP3 with all the trimmings, as written in the wiki In DirectX DiagTool the file version is still 6.05.2600.5512 - also after a reboot.. Any idea? I think ms doesnt like that much. If this should be no problem just sent me a pm with needed KB numbers and i will have a look at what i can do. Shouldnt be a big problem. |
