Country: | Patch: dvbfix.rar I tried to register the new files from the patch but it didn't work. The content of runme.bat is: %windir%\system32\regsvr32 /u mpeg2data.ax %windir%\system32\regsvr32 /u psisdecd.dll %windir%\system32\regsvr32 "%~dp0mpeg2data.ax %windir%\system32\regsvr32 "%~dp0psisdecd.dll Are lines 3 and 4 correct ? It look's a little bit 'confused' to me. |

| Yeah, the lines are correct. I believe the "%dp0 refers to the current directory. You may have run into the issue that I had/have where this fix won't apply no matter what I do. |

Country: | Just checking Guy's Is this patch now needed, as now not installing. Have MS done a update, that has overcome the problem ? Anyone else running 2 or more DVB-t tuners (have 3) with no problems and no patch.

Country: | That one isnt as new as the ones in the manual update and it doesnt update mpeg2data.ax either. If it works too then thats great; for most people the original one works fine. |

Country: | I have 2 Hauppauge USB DVB-T sticks (plus a Hauppauge PCI DVB-S card). The card and one of the DVB-T sticks work fine, but I can't seem to get MP to find the other stick. Any ideas why? I have the MS patch mentioned above and MP v0.2.0.4. I'm running XP Home Edition with all the latest updates. |

failed to start timeshifting unable to add streambuffer sink filter I then tried running the bat with these files but it didn't seem to make a difference. Next i tried using the above method, however i noticed that, going the system information route through the directx tab, only the mpeg2data file is showing as the later version. Anyway when i now try to record something then change the channel i still get aforementioned error Some of the characters in Taipan's post do not appear correctly on my computer but i made assumptions as to what they were. I notice that there was no registering the psisdecd.dll file. Is this a step i have missed? thanx Scoobsheister Last edited by Scoobsheister; 2006-12-26 at 22:31. Reason: revised error

a. Reboot into Safe Mode i. As the computer restarts, but before Windows launches, press F8. ii. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Safe Mode option, and then press ENTER. b. Update PsisDecd.dll and mpeg2data.ax (to version 6.5.2710.2732) : i. From C:\Windows search for PsisDecd.dll - should be in \Windows\Driver Cache\i386 ii. Rename the original file by adding ".old" to the end of the name iii. Copy PsisDecd.dll file to the directory where the original was stored. iv. From C:\Windows search for mpeg2data.ax - should be in \Windows\ System32 v. Rename the original file by adding ".old" to the end of the name vi. Copy mpeg2data.ax file to the directory where the original was stored. vii. Register - from a Command prompt, execute regsvr32 mpeg2data.ax viii. Check with Radlight (called "MPEG-2 Sections & Table") c. Reboot into normal mode Quote:
To verify that this patch has been applied successfully, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information > Tools > DirectX Diagnostic Tool and select the DirectX Files tab. Look for the 2 files (psisdecd.dll & mpeg2data.ax) and check that they are now both at version 6.5.2710.2732. Last edited by Taipan; 2007-01-03 at 22:48.

Country: | It allows you to use more than one DVB tuner with Windows XP. Without this patch, MediaPortal will only be able to use a single DVB tuner on Win XP. Quote:
