| Hi, I'm a noob here so please be gentle! I tried the Mediaportal support tool which said it had placed the info' I was going to paste into the clipboard...but it wasn't available for pasting so I'll keep this brief. I bought a brand new Fleabay MCE Philips remote (which IS outputting a signal-visible to mobile phone camera) in the hope that it would work with my generic dongle (which happily connects to my SE W810i) but the PC doesn't react to the remote in any way. Would any of you knowledgable folks have any easy answers?! Thanks in advance and congrats on all the tasty HTPC systems ![]() |

Country: | An IRda adapter is different to an IR Receiver. Its meant for data transfers only, your remote wont be detected as it uses a different wavelength. |

| Thanks Callifo! The seller told me that he saw no reason why it wouldn't work so I've asked him if I can return it due to the fact it's no use to me...Unless somebody here would be interested in it as a replacement! I'll stick it in the FS section 8) |
