Default Play back problem with RC2

I installed the new RC2 and now i cant play any movies in mp anymore. When i starta a movie the picture gets black for a few seconds and then return to MP , i check the log and its only said "2008-07-24 17:46:49.537177 [ERROR][MPMain]: PlaylistPlayer: *** unable to play - F:\21.720p.BD5.x264-REFiNED\refined-21.mkv - skipping track!" so that is not mutch info to go on. I have uninstalled mp with Revouninstaller like 10 times now with out get it to work. Every thing work fine in rc1 but i delete all mp maps when i installed rc2 . All movies work with all other progam i have tested. I use vista 32.

Try that thread linked above again. That issue has now been identified and there is fix info there.

uninstalling divx and installing xvid is a better option than ffdshow unless you know what you are doing. ffdshow basically takes over playback of all media until you tell it not to, and can therefore cause major confusion.

Major_Mess: thx mate that you take some time to help me. But its not divx movies its .mkv i cant play , and the only decoder for that , that is installed on my computer is Coreavc, in ffdshowe i have disable everything that is for mkv files. I guess i can try and unistall ffdshow. Do you you have any clue about where i can find RC1 otherwise?

Did you by any chance recently updated your audio drivers(or any other driver)? I did that and suddenly I had the same problem as you described here.
