Default PLEASE HELP !!!

i have a LEADTEK DTV1000T and i live in MELBOURNE and i have searched the forums for answers but could not find any complete answers. i just downlaoded MEDIA PORTAL yesterday and i luv the program, although i cant get the live tv to work. i cant seem to detect any channels, because it doesnt't detect my card. im guessing i need some drivers or somethin to get my dtv1000T workin wit this program. PLEASE HELP!

i can't watch LIVE TV thru MEDIA PORTAL program, because it can't detect any channels. it can't even detect the device to capture the signals, the program thinks the card doesnt exist. i need some sort of patch so it will recognize it.

You need the drivers to be 'BDA', but what i just looked at about the product is that it works in XP Media Center Edition 2005 so therefor is soud work in media portal
have u got the lastest CVS? for media portal

Make sure you follow the instructions. Most of the page is in German, but there is an English translation of the instructions. That's how important they are ;-)

As for the card, it should be supported. As has been said, make sure you have installed the BDA drivers. These are the univeral standard for TV tuner cards (Like Twain is for scanners).

hey wat u mean BDA drivers? is that just the normal driver u install with the CD u get with the tv card ?! so i should just follow the link nd install it. i currently use WINFAST DTV to watch tv, should i uninstall it to make MEDIA PORTAL work. is that y its not workin?!

nope, it's just that sometimes there are a number of different drivers.
You can have WDM, BDA or asome other type of proprietry ones. If the card has any instructions for Media Centre then follow those...

Otherwise, it couldn't hurt to re-install. Support was added a few weeks ago for your card, so it should be found.

Also, it can't hurt to check out what Device Manager says about your card. Post back here what the card is being called in Windows. Maybe someone else with the same card can relay their results too../

Looking on the manufacturers page would have been a good idea, http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/suppor...%20DTV1000%20T lists the BDA driver there.

hey thanks for the help guys im gettin pretti confused though. i mean
wats the WHQLed driver? is that the BDA driver im lookin for. how do i tell if i have installed a BDA driver? is that just the one on the cd that makes everythin work? sorry for the stupid questions. i updated the CVS thing on that website u gave me alreadi

i just downloaed the WHQLed driver and i dont kno wher to put the files. they are like *.cat files . dno wher it all goes?!
