Default PowerScheduler still behaves funny ...

I am running 0.2.2.0, and also downloaded the latest PowerScheduler updates with that SVN a few days back. I posted a problem here:
unwanted standby - this is weird
which was mainly caused by my misunderstanding of how PS works.

But now I have set the "idle time before shut down" to zero, and powerscheduler still shuts down the system every now and then. The log file showes several attempts by PS to shut down, but it realized that the time was set to zero, and did not shut down.
But it seems like PS is really eager to put my system into standby, and after like 8 or 10 attempts, it probably just said "what the heck" and went ahead to put my system into sleep.

Does anybody else experience this problem? I have now set the idle time before shutdown to 90 minutes. Let's see what happens ...

Thanks,
Paul.

Update: 90 minutes does not work, either. I just finsihed a recording. PS woke up the PC correctly, the recording finished (30 mins), and I checked 30 minutes after the recording: the computer was in sleep mode. So even though the "idle time before shut down" was set to 90 minutes, PS shut down the system shortly after the recording ended (less than 30 minutes).
I will post the log tonight. At least in my case, it seems like PS shuts down randomly, independent of the time specified.

Anybody else seeing this?
Paul.

Hi,
Tested with MP 0.2.2.0 + SVN revision 12587 (the latest change for PS was in Revision: 12533)
Tested a recording & have set time to shutdown to 0 & it doesn't shut down or try @ all here, the shutdown time it's always "[Info.][MPMain]: - ShutDown Time = 31.12.9999 23:59:59" which means no shutdown time.
Can you try with the same build, maybe this has been solved already?
Will try the 90 mins later to see whats happen & in windows i have disabled all hib/suspend times.

Regards
Roy

Here is the log file. That's the one where the time was set to 90 minutes & the computer went into standby shortly after the recording has finished.

What's strange is that there is one line that says:
Main: Windows is requesting hibernate mode

I doubt that Windows was requesting hibernate, as hibernation is disable in my power settings (I double checked).
Here are my power settings:

- screen saver on after 5 minutes
- turn off monitor: never
- turn off hard disks: never
- System Standby: never
- Hibernate: disabled

When MP is not running, the computer never goes into any power savings mode except turning on the screen saver.

I am truly puzzled ...

Thanks,
Paul.

And here is another test case (see lattached log file). This time, I set the "idle time before shut down" back to zero, then started MP and did nothing, justy let it sit. Clearly powerscheduler sent my system into standby after 3 or so minutes as seen in the log (if my interpretation is correct).

Even more confused now ... I will try an even newer SVN, I guess.

Paul.

I installed a new SVN (12587), and the problem in my post #6 seems to be fixed. However, the other one (post #5) still exists.

Pls. see the log file. I have set the "idle time before shut down" to 30 minutes for this one, but the system went into standby after 2 minutes.

Thanks,
Paul.

Hi,
hmm, have to run some tests if the recording it's 30min & 30min it's the waiting time maybe it suspends before re calculating it's done.
btw, have you set the log level to debug in MP Setup -> General & enabled extended logging for PowerScheduler plugin?

Regards
Roy
