Default Problem setting up channels. How to rescan ?

The last time i setup mediaPortal it went somthing like this. At install it scanned the channels and all was good.

In Australia where i am thiis is how it works.

Example

Ten
Ten Digital 1
Ten Digital 2
Ten Digial 3
Ten Digital 4
Ten HD
Ten Program Guide

Now we have like 5 channels and they all go like that. These are FTA channels. But for some reason this did not happen this way this time.

And when i try to add the channels. I get a failed to start timeshifting, tuningh details for ten not found. Anyone know whats going on. Might try a uninstall and reinstall if its needed if you guys can't ficx it without it

I used the lookup in the TV Wizard to get the channels. But i ony see Ten and none of the other channels which it used to show ??

No ideas.

Thanks for any help.

Default Re: Problem setting up channels. How to rescan ?

Weird.

I just uninstalled MP and then rebooted and ran the setup again. Thinking it would go though the startup again and do the channel scanning again. But it did not.

It just installed and ran and kept all the details from the last install. That never happened before like that before.

Iam using a DVICO Fusion Plus HDTV card DVB-T.

How do i get it to do a normal install again so it will rescan my channels again ??

This is weird. Just did a full reformat and eeverything yo get a styable meedio and now it wont work

BAHAHAHha.

Thanks all.

You can either start the configuration program and go to the TV section, select you capture card and select auto tune for scanning the channels.

Or

If you want to start with a clean install then uninstall MP, delete the MediaPortal folder, then install MP

It worked but not very well. Missed channel 7 and channel 10 completly. I know their their as i did a scan with my other TV viewing software and its all their. Any reason why they are not showing up. Kind of hard to confige if they channels are not there ?

I think ill do that reinstall and see if that fixes anything.

Thanks.

I know they were all their the last time i did it

Can you complete the support template, see link below, and post the mediaportal.log and error.log. You find thim under the logs folder in the mediaportal folder.

http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=2766

http://mp.pastebin.com for the mediaportal.log & error.log - quote the pastebin reference number so we know where to find it.

Makes it easier to help if we have more information.
