Hi using RC2 and the following
P4 2.8ghz
1GB Ram
Compro Videomate DVB-T300

The telly channel switching is non existent I can change from 1 2 3 4 then no more it just freezes re-starts are needed. I managed to get UKTV History on yesterday the option to change channel was 'greyed' out and could not be selected.


Looking forward to playing with this some more as my beloved Showshifter died....

OK, but we still need more information - please don't be so secretive.... :wink:

I notice you are using a recent CVS - did this problem exist on earlier CVSs?

Does this happen with timeshifting ON or OFF?

Change the skin to the default BlueTwo - does that help?

What is different about channel 4?

What does your MediaPortal.log file say?

You should have the video renderer set to VMR9, not overlay. And your video card is below specs - the minimum recommended is a 9550.

Just tried this uild and the TV will not start now It says that "Cannot start Timeshifting"Tried turning timeshifting off no luck

Could not find out how to chage video render type though any ideas?
Got a new Nvidia 6600 on order
Have not found the log file.
IT happened on the default blue 2.
The channel change just allowed a few changes before freezing.

Its in MediaPortal Configuration - run that and in the Television section you will see "video renderer". Change it to VMR9

OK, start MediaPortal, go to My TV, change channels until it "freezes", exit MediaPortal (ALT+F4) and post the resulting MediaPortal.log file here. That might give us some clues as to the problem...

Also, have you applied all the suggestions recommended here?

I am going to try my new Gfx crd in the machin only a plain 6600 gfx card ut has Nvidia Purevideo and other hardware decode on so hopefully better. Also has DVI out to my 26" LCD

Think i am slowly working out what to do with CVS builds...

Post more after Hardware update.

Still couldnt find VMR9 in the Video Renderer though

Whatever Skin I have it takes forever to goto full screen and as stated in the Video renderer there is no option for VMR9

Whatever Skin I have it takes forever to goto full screen and as stated in the Video renderer there is no option for VMR9
