Synopsis::

Hi,

this is not a MP only problem i think. Since WinTV 2000 shows the same issue.

I cannot get my new PVR 150 to work with my old PVR 350.
The PVR 150 works and does show a picture, alone and together with the 350.
The PVR 350 works if it stays alone in the computer. Together with the 150, the PVR 350 does not show any picture, the screen just goes black. Also radio does not work.

MP shows this in the log:
23.11.2005 23:14:39 SinkGraph:FAILED to connect Encoder->mpeg2 demuxer:80040217

I think it is a driver problem, but it could also be just a hardware problem.

My main question: Is there anybody out there having a PVR 150 and 350 working together? Which drivers do you use?

I will make some more tests with drivers and make some research, but hopefully there is someone!

I'm glad i'm not the only one with this problem! for the last couple of days I'm struggling with exactly the same problem. And of course I am more than pleased to hear that you solved this issue. Thanks a lot!

Now my question: I saw that your patch is a source file. Does that mean I have to compile my own version of MP or is your patch available in the CVS-Updates on myshare.de?

Thanks, TimmyT

Hi,

the patch found its way in the CVS on monday. So, yes, latest CVS builds from http://www.team-mediaportal.de/ (formally known as myshare) should work.

But latest CVS shows very high CPU consumption leading to some stutters and hangs on my machine with the small preview window. So it might be a good idea to only use the TVCapture.dll of the CVS on your working installation (don't forget the backup! ).

HTH, Flip.

That's even better, only changing one dll. So I don't have to upgrade to .NET 2.0 yet, right? Or does this one library require the use of .NET FW 2.0?

Hi,

hmm difficult question. As far as i know, it is compiled against .NET2, but I do not know, if it really uses .NET2 methods. Just give it a try, more than a crash should not happen.

But you do not need to "upgrade" to .NET2. .NET2 stands for its own, it coexists with .NET1. If you install it, you will have a software entry for .NET1 and one for .NET2.

I had to install the .NET2 package, just replacing the TVCapture.dll didn't work out. But now everything works fine, I can finally use both my TVCards.

Thanks a lot FlipGer for your support and your changes in the sourcecode.
