PVR 500 optimum bitrates

I was just wondering if anyone has the optimum bitrates settings for a PVR 500 (low, medium, high) and are you using VBR or constant?

I am also using a NVIDIA 5200 with Pure Video codec (if that makes a difference).

And maybe the default settings are already optimal, just wondering.

I use vbr from 5500 to 9500

Like it, maybe 9500 is a bit too high. Is there a way to change the audio settings within MP to 224 kbit, btw? It's set to 384 and I don't need it that high.
