Hi,

I have no audio on any radio channels.

They preview fine in TV server, but I just get a black box in the corner and no audio when radio is "playing".

Logs attached on: Start MP, go to My Radio, select radio 1, exit radio, close MP.

Any ideas what the isue might be?

I also have audio dropouts on tv channels occasionally but this may be a different issue.

Thanks,
Chris

Is it possible to play music (i.e. MP3)?

If not, check your "volume controls" setting.

Hi Tompa,

Yes, everything else audio works including the preview in TV server setup.

TV works fine most of the time with audio in the vast majority of cases.

Just no radio audio in MP it's self.

Hi, I had a similar issue although for me only some stations would play. Try a different audio codec to see if that makes any difference.

Hi,
How do I change my audio codec for radio?
There seems to be no radio settings anywhere (except in plugins in MP config, but this is spartan).
Do you mean remove system codecs and replace with others?
Thanks,
Chris

I think the tv codecs are used by radio too (Audio only obviously) so try changing them there in MP config.

Hi Chris

Just updated to todays svn 19936, previously on base RC2, so did not want to comment.

As Nemulate said, try changing your audio codec, using FFDShow as audio codec for everything here, as it set to up convert everything to 7:1 surround, and touch wood, no problems.

But just to confirm dvb-t radio is working, just a thought, have you got the channels enabled in TVServer config\radio\channels, are they all ticked for the ones you want.

Regards

Thanks! FFdshow works and I now have radio.

I wonder if Radio will ever get it's own config (not to mention recording ability)?

Now I need to start another thread about audio dropping out in TV when changing from Any other channel to Channel4 or Five, as this is still an issue for me after after fixing the radio with a codec change.

Done:
Audio dropping out on some channels

Thanks for all help.

Chris

I had the same issue. Changing from PowerDVD8 audio decoder to AC3filter fixed it. I don't understand why, but that's a whole new topic.

FWIW, this seems to have also removed another issue: I had a lot of flickering when tuned to an HD TV channel (only the MediaPortal GUI was flickering, not the TV image itself) and this has disappeared now.

Yeah,
I have the flickering (probably more like interferance), but do not seem to be able to get rid of it.

See here:
MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-05-16-2008 23-38h - Revision:19127.rar

On another machine, I had a problem with the GUI flickering, but this was on a mini ITX board with a useless S3 GPU. Fixed by putting DX exclusive mode on, which in turn caused other problems.

I am still trying to work out why my S2 card is not able to get a signal, so have not tried HD yet.

Thanks,
Chirs
