on some, but not all, shows i record it seems to only record the video as i get no sound no matter which player i use to try and view the video (tried: mpc, mp11, vlc). i thought this migh be due to the channels sound format nut i recorded to shows in a row on the same channel (same show actually just different eps) first one had no sound second had sound?????????? im recording into .mpg format

have you got haali media splitter installed?

if not try installing it and enable AVI extensions during installation.

maybe the shows u dont get sound is because they are broadcast in two languages and you need to select one of them.

i think you can also try with VLC, and go to audio - audio track... and select one of them

give it a try.
