Hi everyone!

Is there anything I need to do on Windows 2003 Server SP1 to use MP ? If I start MP I get no error message but the screen inside the MP window is empty (see picture)

I already activated all Direct X Hardware acceletation features, I checked dxdiag, all tests were running fine and the version is 9.0c. I activated sound accelaration too just in case. The latest nvidia driver 84.21 is installed.

Using MP 0.2 RC3.

Any ideas ? This is strange, hah ?

Thanks for your help !
Alex

no one ?

I don“t understand this. Normally, if DirectX works, I should see something in the Mediaportal screen right ??

Thanks for your help,
Alex

Hey,

thanks for your help. Somehow Mediaplayer 10 came with the OS or at least with SP1 which was slipstreamed before installation. So that cannot be it but I am very thankful for any tips :-)

Thanks,
Alex

Ha, I found the solution:

This is a bug in RC3. I just installed 0.2 RC2 and it was fine !!

here is how I can reproduce this:

The 3 files missing in the RC3 release are:

If I copy those 3 files from the RC2 release, everything is fine. If I delete them again, the display is empty again.

Hope that can be resolved before 0.2 final !

Bye,
Alex
