Everytime I do it MP says "Not enough disk space", even if I map the network folder as local drive. I would really apretiate some help because I'm using gigabit ethernet and have a server with 2tbs of space on it and on My HTPC I have only a 40GB harddrive and I need to copy all my recordings every day manually to free disk space

Country: | in theory all you need to do is map the location to your server eg, in windows explorer map say e:\ to a folder on the server for the recordings , then just go into the configuration and go to TV and select the tuner and go configure i think it is from memory can't recall exactly , in there you can select where you want the recordings / timeshifting to go , you should just need to change it to the new mapping eg, e:\ and it should work sweet |

| Portal Member | thx for the reply, The problem is that for me this still works only in theory, I already try to map it az y:\ but when I try to start the tv it says not enough disk sapace again

| Portal Member | Sorry but It still doesn't work. Now that I followed your instructions, when I try to start the tv, Media portal displays the warning: "Unable to start Timeshifting, Unable to add StreamBufferSink filter".

Country: | Set my computer up the same as it was before and it works fine for me Im using mediaportal-svn-04-28-2006--01-03 Ive got windows xp pro sp2 on both computers I cant understand why its not working for you is the share folder setup to allow other users to change files? |

Country: | As I said there are no problems with DVBViewer recording on the same network folder but when it comes to Mp: crash or black screen I'll give the svn version you mentioned a try. Mfg Flo

Country: | Made a fresh install of mp -> no go tried the latest svn -> still no go Tv is working fine until a select Timeshift or Record :roll:
