Remote control best support

Hello,
I currently have an X10 remote control. It has poor support, works at about 1m from the PC...
I also have the Hauppauge remote that comes with my DVBT board. I'll try to make it work but I remove the drive since it made the system instable....
So I may change for another remote.
Which is the remote which is the best supported by MP ? The microsoft ones ? Do all keys work within MP ?
Could you please advice....

The European MCE remote (coloured teletext buttons) is by far the best supported remote there is.

That's the USA version, no teletext buttons, main use of these is red button goes to fullscreen video from any screen you are on, blue button cycles through the different aspect ratio's, personally could not live without these functions.

It looks like the teletext version is not available anymore

Maybe someone has feedback on the new RC for vista mce : Philips SRM-5100

This one has the 4 color buttons...
More expensive but if all features are implemented, it could sound good

Weird. I saw the teletext version yesterday in Media Markt in Germany.

I'll try to search further, but in France, it looks like we have the US version mostly available.
