Remote - internal IR receiver

Hi all,

I've built myself a nice pc to run the MediaPortal - and now I need to select a remote control to go with it. I'd rather not get stuck with that Microsoft IR receiver - it's big, clumsy, ugly, in fact, too much like me that I'd care to have to deal with it. It's it possible, does anyone know, to allow for a generic IR receiver, at best installed in a 5'25 slot - or possible someone has got a remote solution working which doesn't involve placing a receiver somewhere outside the media pc cabinet? Would like to learn of other's experience in this.

Lots of cases has built-in recivers, often with iMon remotes and SW-kits (ie. Silverstone, Termaltake)

You can also buy kits including VFD, SW and remote

If you wanna use your MCE remote with MP with an integrated receiver, go for e.g. a Zalman case, they use the IRTrans receivers. IRTrans in combination with an MCE remote is fully supported in MP out of the box. (Native support: config/Remotes/IRTrans)
