Country: | Hi guys, I'm desparatly seeking a way to disable/remove the "delete video" option from the context menu. Many users in my house use my HTPC and we have already come very close to almost deleting a few videos by accident! I want my media to be protected, I don't want to go through the hassle of re-encoding a DVD just because someone accidentally clicked delete video. How can I disable this option? Cheers ![]() |

Country: | I am sorry. The context menu entries are hardcoded in the plugins. The only chance is to download the sources, remove the entry and compile it.

Country: | Damn, that sucks. Is there a way i can request this to be implemented? I noticed a lot of people have asked for it in the past...its a bit dodgy because things could be deleted by accident. Is there a way of disabling the context menu altogether? |

than asking for it to be removed from menu.As always if you have Movies that you have taken from your DVD's and converted to avi\mp4, back them up to another hard disk, it took me long enough to convert 200+ movies without losing them ![]()

Country: | The biggest problem is that it actually doesn't go to the recycle bin. That would obviously help a lot for people who accidentally delete stuff. Its not harder then using some file restoring program, but not everybody has that, and you have to be aware of the deletion pretty fast so the data don't get overwritten. Is it possible to make the delete thing send it to recycle bin or even just move it to another folder? |

Perhaps I could set a "read only" permission on the files, would that stop MP deleting them? | |

Country: | Just did..it *seems* to work! MP doesn't kick up a fuss, but the movie stays there...interesting. Now...to find a program/script that can run through every file and make read-only :/ |
