Default S-VIDEO

So how do you add an S-Video input into MediaPortal? The only inputs I see are Antenna and Cable.

Hi

Follow the process in the post below, just change it to use the s-video input and not the "composite" as described...

how to see the hauppauge 150 video channel. (not the tuner channels)

1) In the MediaPortal Setup - Tool, open the 'Television' section.
2) Now go to the 'TV-Channels' section, and create/edit one of your channels.
3) Go to the 'External' tab, and change the 'Type' to 'Recieve by external settop box'
4) Next select the 'Input via', and change it to 'CVBS#1'...
5) Now if you are going to change channels on an external device using a IR-blaster device, input the channel number into the 'Channel no on settop box'

If you have multiple tv-channels, you will have to follow the same steps for every channel.
Can't do #2 as there is no "TV-Channels" section in the "Television" section. There is a "TV Channels" section within the "MediaPortal - TV Server management console" but there is no EXTERNAL tab listed there that I can see.

I am using MediaPortal 1.0.0.0 RC1 if that matters. I assumed it was the closest thing to a stable version.

Hi,
If using TV Server you have to use the "Add" which adds a new channel & in the new window -> analog -> source select the input you need.

Btw, much easier if you use support template so we know what you use

fixed Svideo / S-video / Svhs

I figured it out too, lol. Just to detail it...
  1. Open the TV-Server Configuration.
  2. Click the + in front of TV Servers then the + in front of the server and then click on the TV card. Mine listed 2 so I selected the analog one as that is all I use.
  3. Click on the "Add SVHS/VHS channels" button.
  4. Click OK on the small window that pops up saying the channels were added.
  5. Now click on TV Channels on the list on the left.
  6. Mine wound up being SVHS#1. Since that was all I needed, I deleted all the other ones.
