Just wondering how search of EPG in MY TV is to work

There is always a place holder of "A" when a search is started. This has to be deleted first.

Searching by title only seems to search from the beginning of the Title.

So for example, this week a title is "New Mythbusters"
Searching for "Mythbusters" produces no results. Searching for "New" produces a nice list of everything starting with "New" It would be nice for the search to find Mythbusters in the string and return it.

Thoughts?

I also see this behaviour, everytime I search, I have to delete the "A". This isn't quite convinient.
Do we both do something wrong, or is this standard behaviour?

This is how programmers thinks how things work:-) I never understood why this is so hard to get. A reason why to stay with VMC cause I need this EPG Full Text Search every day (and VMC now also has DVB-S and is much more stable)

Try out Big_Kev's web interface for TV Server. It allows you to access your EPG from anywhere, setup a recording with two clicks and has search capabilities. I just go to another machine and browse to the media PC. Trying to search with a remote and virtual keyboard is too time consuming.
