1) Cant find the "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" file in the MediaPortal directory has this been replaced with
the file "CaptureCards.xml"?

2) The direction said to cut and paste a section for a working card to the bottom of the file. Only card listed in the "captureCards.xml" is my one.

Any help is most welcome

Nope, you should have a "capturecarddefinitions.xml" file in the Mediaportal root directory. Then MediaPortal makes the CaptureCards one in the sub directory specifically for your card. Make sure to check the root directory.
Copy to the bottom of the definitions file then see if MP detects it.

I would have thought your card would already be supported though.

Well I am a Silly Billy, I had a look a MediaPortal a few months ago when I first got my card because the software that came with it was SH%t. Recently reinstalled MediaPortal on another directory to give it another go and have been looking for the capturecarddefinition file in the older install.

My card is listed in the captureCarddefinition file but its only 1/2 working in that
The card is being picked up and it finds all the channels when scanning and I can access the digital radio stations. But when I select a station TV (with video) I get a ½ second of sound (no Video) then it freezes

Where would you recommend I start looking ?

I'd probably start with the Audio and Video codecs. Try the default MPA and MPV ones and also make sure you have the latest version of MP (0.2) and the latest stable patch that goes with it, bringing you to 0.02.04 I think.

It sounds like your card is working and something else is to blame. Try checking the log files and see what the last few entries are. Post them using pastebin as described in the support forum and then we can see what could be th issue.

Don't worry, you're almost there ;-)
