| Hi lads, I got a little problem getting MP 0.2 to run with a PCI WinTV-Card (model unknown, got it from a co-worker). I didn't get any drivers, so I downloaded and installed the drivers of the hauppauge.de-driver site, rebooted the computer, but there were still unknown devices in the device manager. So Windows connected to Windows Update and another reboot later I now have the following devices in my list: Code: + Sound, video and game controllers - Audio Codecs - Hauppauge WinTV 878/9 Aux Driver - Hauppauge Wintv 787/9 Video Driver - Legacy Audio Drivrs - Legacy Video Capture Devices - Media Control Devices - NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) Audio Codec Interface - NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) MCP Audio Processing Unit - Video Codecs "Unable to create graph for this device!!" The error is displayed twice. Here is an extract from the log files which describes the problem: Code: 05.07.2006 08:54:46 TVCapture.CreateGraph() Card:1 05.07.2006 08:54:46 1 vmr9:ctor() 05.07.2006 08:54:46 1 vmr9:ctor() DX9Device=null 05.07.2006 08:54:46 1 vmr9:ctor() _renderFrame=null 05.07.2006 08:54:46 1 vmr9:ctor() done:False 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx:CreateGraph() IN 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Create new filter graph (IGraphBuilder) 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Get the Capture Graph Builder (ICaptureGraphBuilder2) 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Link the CaptureGraphBuilder to the filter graph (SetFiltergraph) 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Add graph to ROT table 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Adding configured filters... 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: adding filter <Hauppauge> with moniker <device> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Added filter <Hauppauge> with moniker <device> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: adding filter <Hauppauge> with moniker <device> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Added filter <Hauppauge> with moniker <device> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: adding filter <Hauppauge> with moniker <device> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Added filter <Hauppauge> with moniker <device> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: adding filter <Hauppauge> with moniker <device> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Added filter <Hauppauge> with moniker <device> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: preferred filter %soundcard% 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: adding filter <NVIDIA> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: adding filter <soundcard> with moniker <> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 SinkGraphEx: Added filter <soundcard> with moniker <> 05.07.2006 08:54:46 Exception :System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range. at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.MkParseDisplayName(IBindCtx pbc, String szUserName, UInt32& pchEaten, IMoniker& ppmk) at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.BindToMoniker(String monikerName) at MediaPortal.TV.Recording.SinkGraphEx.CreateGraph(Int32 Quality) 05.07.2006 08:54:46 Exception :Value does not fall within the expected range. 05.07.2006 08:54:46 site :Void MkParseDisplayName(System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComTypes.IBindCtx, System.String, UInt32 ByRef, System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComTypes.IMoniker ByRef) 05.07.2006 08:54:46 source :mscorlib 05.07.2006 08:54:46 stacktrace: at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.MkParseDisplayName(IBindCtx pbc, String szUserName, UInt32& pchEaten, IMoniker& ppmk) at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.BindToMoniker(String monikerName) at MediaPortal.TV.Recording.SinkGraphEx.CreateGraph(Int32 Quality) 05.07.2006 08:54:46 TVCapture.DeleteGraph() Card:1 Does anyone have some pointers for me? | Solved - sometimes, it is as simple as reading the right documentation. Here are step by step instructions: http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Sup...eWinTV878based Make sure to read the comments below the article, as the information given in the wiki is not 100% right, you need additional files in your permanent directory! Now on to fine-configuring MP ![]() Sol |
