Default SoundSpectrum WhiteCap?

I'm having a really hard time finding any decent visualization plugins to work with the music player in MediaPortal. I really like SoundSpectrum's WhiteCap visualizer a lot, but it seems to have some kind of an issue with MediaPortal. Is there any hope for getting this working? I wrote to SoundSpectrum and they said that someone from the MediaPortal team had worked on G-Force to get it working with MediaPortal, but no similar work had been done with WhiteCap.

I'm just trying to find something with some nice variety that remains fairly simple and minimalistic. WhiteCap fits the bill perfectly--I just wish it worked with MediaPortal.

I'd be willing to pay actual money for a version of WhiteCap that worked with MediaPortal.

Thanks in advance for any insight,
Q

If you look at there Website they actually do not support MP with whitecap.

They do with G-Force, because i have that installed myself.

Sorry, but the ball is back with SoundSpectrum.

They do offer a MediaPortal setting in the installer and it does work almost...

Tried with WhiteCap 5.5 visualizer in the Platinum version.

When I select the visualiser in MP Config, it displays "WhiteCap cannot run on this computer because it lacks the required graphics hardware or because the latest graphics drivers are't installed." When I select "None" and again "WhiteCap" it display the Logo and then the visualiser like it should.
Looks like the initialisation doesn't work in the first run, but in the second it does. Running MediaPortal it always displays the error. There's no obvious way to reinitialize the visualizer there. The visualiser works alright outside MP.

So maybe something can be done in MP to enable WhiteCap.

If Whitecap does work with MP now, chances are it is only with RC builds no svn installed.

Saying that, can still use G-Force planinum fine here, even though it will not allow me to choose MP under player install options.

I just managed to get it working.

What I did was not use the Whitecap that's detected as wmp plugin but install whitecap for Winamp. Then from the winamp plugins folder copy "vis_WhiteCap.dll" to "MediaPortal\MusicPlayer\plugins\visualizations\wi namp".

The only thing is that on my system the vis is kind of sluggish. Doesn't matter if you change framerates.
