Country: | Inside MP, Settings -> Screen Calibration -> Scroll Speed Turn up "Max FPS". Edit: You do also have VMR9 Renderless enabled in movies/tv/dvd dont you? |

| Portal Member | I think there is an missunderstanding By changing the Settings of "scroll speed" you only can adjust the settings for the epg afaik. I think Jellybeard means that, when you are scrolling down in the "movie" menu (and you have more than one page in it) the scrolling down has an huge delay when you come to the next page. Within a page page it is very good, no delay. Only when you are at the end of an page and you jump to next movie it slows down a lot. I have the same problem. Dont know what to do. |

| Portal Developer | Hi, Quote:
Try setting it to around 10fps and see how slow menu's will scroll.. BTW, this settings menu also displays the current fps. So, if you increase the fps above your system's capability, you'll notice the current fps won't be as high as you've specified.AFAIK this has nothing to do with EPG. BTW, I experience the same problem only when I play music. If I check the fps by pressing the "!", I see it doesn't reach the fps I've specified in settings at all. However, if I stop playing music, everything is fine again. I don't have this problem with Movies, DVD's and TV. BTW I'm on 1366x768 resolution, and fullscreen visualization runs at a very low fps, too. That's why I disabled it. But I still have a feeling it's somehow related to this. Kind regards, Michel | |

| Portal Member | I am not sure if I understand you right, scoop. For testing I have set the max. FPS to 10 (this really was slow) and then to 100 (fast as usual). When I set the scroll vertical and horizontal this only effects the epg (the description of films). But my problem is still there. Lets say you have 50 films in your "movie" menu. If you sort them in "list" then you have about 5 pages (11 movies per page). Within ONE page scrolling is fine. But at the end of one page (when you jump at the buttom to the next movie scrolling isnt smooth anymore. What can I do? |

| On my setup, If I'm playing a "my pictures" slideshow, I get the full 60fps, but if I'm streaming a radio broadcast for example, then the slideshow runs at around 15fps (so the photos stay on the screen for 4 times as long). |

| Portal Member | I know this is an old thread, but the problem is not solved, yet. I have 2 folders (on 2 harddisks). Each with a lot of movies. Ever movie has its own picture (e.g. Matrix1.avi - Matrix1.jpg). So, if I open a folder I see all my movies with the belonging pictures. It is very frustating that there is always a huge delay, if I try to open the next page in my movie list (it doesnt feel smooth  ) With MCE there wasnt such a problem (but thats the only thing I miss  ) Could it be, that this has something to do with the cache for the pictures? I dont know what I can do to speed up changing to the next page. |
