Country: | Beside this... ... I plan to release a small tool I've written to "overlay" the current splashscreen by a "fullscreen window" that uses the same background image as MediaPortal. It retrieves the information from the original splashscreen which makes it very eyecandy. This tool can also be used for all kinds of scripts that should look a bit better... i.e. a script that runs after Standby to reinitialize the tv cards and the tv server.... if you interested to try it already, just take a look at our SVN under tools: SourceForge.net Repository - [mediaportal] Index of /trunk/Tools/FullScreenMsg the file itself is under the "Binaries" folder... a sample script is in the "Usage Sample Scripts" folder. CU Lars

| Thanks for the answers. Lkuech i try to use your nice program, I also wrote a script, but the splashscreen still overlays your fullscreen prog. I also tried to add the parameter ForceForeground=true. The option keep MP always in foreground is not active. On an other system it works really good? Any ideas? thx |

Country: | Hi medola. The ForceForeground option is per default enabled. So there is normally no need to do it manually. The option does exist to disable it if needed... I have update the tool a bit. Also there is a new sample script. It is important that you give the load of the first instance time to load and establish her self in the memory... Otherwise it is possible that the second instance is faster than the first one... If that does not change the behaviour on your side, just post your script... maybe I see something. EDIT: Just for info. My MP is configure to always on top. CU Lars

| I too would be interested in this script. I'm trying to make the PC look very Mediaportal (ish) from bootup. This involved following the guide in the wiki and replacing the boot logo. However, I think the splash screen is a little obtrusive. I could live with it if it was quite transparent, that might look a lot better. |

Country: | @EvylRat: Take a look at the link I've posted above. If you browse the svn repository a bit you will find everything you need (including sample scripts). CU Lars

| Almost worked. I use (currently) two displays. Mediaportal runs on my secondary display, but eventually it'll be one display. Before using the script, the splash screen appears on the primary and then mediaportal starts on the secondary. Running the script I see the huge Starting Mediaportal on the primary, whilst the splash screen moves to the seconday, followed by mediaportal starting on the secondary. |

Country: | A multi display configuration is indeed something I didn't hat in mind as I designed this tool... The problem might be that the tool does not save it's last window position... CU Lars
