Synopsis::
Hi.
TV an recordings are stuttering after resuming from standby. After restarting the application everything works fine.
I tried the stable release 0.2.0.4 and now I`m using this SVN snapshot with the powerscheduler plugin option "re-init tuners on resume" enabled.

Please help me, my wife is pissed off... ;-)
Thanks.

Many regards,
Torsten

The log is attached.

Default PVR Scheduler as workaround

I`ve found a reasonable workaround for me, PVR Scheduler.
Now I`m back to 0.2.0.4 with the PVR Scheduler. I`m back in business and my wife loves me again.
PVR Scheduler shuts Mediaportal down before standby and starts it after resume.
No stuttering any more.

So sderuiter, give it a try.

Regards,
Torsten

MediaPortal Version: MediaPortal 0.2 + SVN
Windows Version: Windows XP SP2
CPU Type: AMD Sempron 2400+
HDD: 200GB + 320GB External WD
Memory: 512 DDR
Motherboard: Asus A7N8X-VM400

2. TV Card: Hauppauge PVR-500
2. TV Card Type: Analog
MPEG2 Video Codec: WindDVD 7
MPEG2 Audio Codec: WindDVD 7
HTPC Case: Silverstone LC11m silver
Remote: MCE 2005 + MCE Keyboard 2005

I can confirm this behaviour. It appears some time ago (thought it was due to the EPG beeing refreshed but apparently it's not)

Here is a complete log for :

Start
Play TV
Back Home
Suspend (Suspend-To-Ram)
Wake-Up
Play TV
Back Home
Exit

Having Timeshift on or off doesn't change anything.

Guys, did you enable "Re-init tuners after standby" in Powerscheduler's config?

It was enabled, but this didn`t fix the problem.
By the way this option is only available in CVS (or not?).

I had it disabled, I enabled it to do the test and it doesn't change anything

As said here : http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/10659 Line 593

Some news from you guys?
I think it`s a bug and someone of the coders could fix that.
Or are we the only ones with these problems?

Same problem here. I have two tuners, but it only happens with the Hauppauge HVR-900. I tried a recent SVN with the Re-init TV Tuners option, but made no difference .

Closing and reopening Media Portal fixes the issue, same as totty. WAF is seriously low now .

Same problem here.

It's very frustrating. anyone care to comment on a fix, recognition of the bug? This is the only thing outstanding in an otherwise perfect build! Killing the WAF when her show is all stuttery.. I've had it happen repeatably on two different machines.

Cheers,

Arkay.
