please i hope you can help ,e with getting this capture card working (supported) in media-portal. If there is any thing i can do myself (editing configuration files for example) then i will be glad to hear about that. I understand that the club3d zap 1000 is supported, so i hope this newer brother is not a problem too.

I add with this information a log from Graphedit too to support you with maybe other needed information.

Thankyou, Patrick

next the Grapedit screen capture

someone who can reply to this (from the media-portal programmers). I ask this because it's just that i want to know
if it would be a good idea to keep my Club3d2202 or exchange it for another (compatible) card. (meaning how much time
it normaly takes to implement new cards in mediaportal)

I like to hear if there is anything i can do (configuring files or whatever) to make this thing working.

What i don't understand is that while many cards have the same chipset's (conexant of philips), still compatibility is a big
uncertain thing. (blaming the cardcompany's)

Anyway, would love to see some respons,

grt, P

Oke, for as much there is no reply i will put my thoughts and trials here.

From what i understand from reading trough this forum is that there are way's to make cards work by yourself.
Still it's pretty vague sometimes what's ment with certain key-words.

(like 'if you card has an BDA driver !!!???') would be nice to knwo what that is.

Anyway, i have a Zap2202 DVB-t card from Club3d. It reads on the box that it supports analog DVB and terestrial DVB.
BUt i don't know if it uses BDA drivers, so help or explaining would be appriciated.

--

Next, i found this page http://www.team-mediaportal.com/mpwi...supported_list
about using GrapEdit to read out your card to get an certain log you can import into the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file.

--

Problem is that i don't understand by reading if this is the way it works for me, the writer of that page make's it
a bit confusing to link another pag with different suggestions. (because at the bottom of the page there is
another link described this way (For other card types also see this thread for details on this. .
When following that it is a bit confusing and seems to suggest that there are other cards (i don't see the difference !)
wich should be readed different, and here i can only collect info and send them to an email adress.

--

Now my question !!! Is it possible that someone can explain (in a clear way) what i have to do to read out and
work on it myself to get my card supported ??

When it works i am more then happy and willing to give the results back to the community here.

I don't get it,

why is nobody replying, even if readers do not have any direct answer, please any help to work this out
(a handout how to start) by myself would be very much apriciated.

because i am a bit lost.

-- points are, what kind of info exactly is needed for the config file CaptureCardDefinitions.xml.

-- how can i make my cyberlink remote working (it now's only work with up and down button's but that's all it do's.
I made a choice in setup-mediaportal by choosing the last option for remote's. (avermedia remote as i remember
correctly, because layout was looking pretty simulair.)

thx

Pat
