support for Typhoon tv PVR aka Lifeview TV Walker

I am in the USA. Is support being considered for G07007SB hardware devices with a philips chipset in the next release?

I use GB-PVR right now as it supports my typhoon card but would love to use Mediaportal if support is added.

Actually Typhoon TV PVR is listed as a supported card but it has not worked for me. It is recognized as a device by mediaportal but there is no audio or video in Live TV.

I would appreciate tips from anyone that has made this or a Lifeview walker device (as it is very similar) work under mediaportal.

Hi Grand99

can you please fill in support template. also check lifeview site for updated drivers. two things this will give us a complete picture that nothing else is causing your problem. and then if no TV, use graphedit to give dman the information to support your individual card.

Sure. I can do that. But I just noticed this as comment on Typhoon TV PVR (on the supported cards page) and feel a bit disheartened.

This device will not work with the current Mediaportal 1.xxx. It has its own peculiar way of connecting filters (Pins) so that Mediaportal cannot decode the signals correctly. All attempts to connect filters in the definitions file failed so far. Which means: no picture no sound. Glad to hear if anybody had any different experience. Feel free to edit this post.
