System will not standby after MP uninstalled

Can you help with this most annoying side affect.
Computer would standby perfectly before MP installed.
After installation would not standby at all.
After removing MP still will not go into standby!

anyone seen this before? Any help most appreciated.

Thanks framug

The last post for this problem was in April 06 and still no solution.
It is clear to me from what I have just read that it is MP causing the problem!

Before MP, standby works a treat, I install MP standby ceases to work, I unistall MP standby still broken!

The unistall for MP is not un-setting the system back to a state before the install.

Can I have a manuall un-install procedure for MP?
